Welcome to William! These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our bill and personal finance management platform and services. By using William, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction

1.1 William is an online platform that facilitates bill and personal finance management among individuals, groups and businesses (“Users”) in Australia.

1.2 These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute a legally binding agreement between you and William. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our platform.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use William.

2.2 If you are using William on behalf of a group, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to enter into these Terms on their behalf.

3. Account Registration

3.1 To access William, you must create an account. The information provided must be accurate and complete.

3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. William’s Role

4.1 William provides a platform to bill and personal finance and communication among Users and businesses.

4.2 William does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of the bill details provided by Users or businesses.

5. Bill Details

5.1 Users are responsible for providing accurate information regarding bill details, amounts, due dates and participating individuals.

5.2 William reserves the right to remove or modify any information that violates these Terms or applicable laws.


6. Open Banking

The Services may allow you to link your bank account to your William account. To provide this Service, William uses a third-party provider, Yodlee, Inc. (Yodlee), a global leader in banking technology. Yodlee provides data gathering services via a secure application programming interface (API) which allows William to receive automated bank account feeds from your bank (Yodlee Service). You will be asked for your bank’s credentials to allow the William Service to feed your bank account data to William. Your login credentials are sent to Yodlee using enforced end-to-end encryption. William does not store or record your login details. By linking your bank account to your William account you will be able to see your bank account balance on the William Website or App at the time your next bill payment is due, and reminders can be sent to you if your balance is lower than the next bill amount. By linking your bank account to your William account, you consent to:

Yodlee collecting and using your personal information and your bank account access information (such as bank account login and passwords) for the purpose of retrieving information about your bank account (such as your bank balance and transaction history for the previous three months) and providing this information to William;

William receiving automated bank account feeds from your bank and receiving your transaction history for the previous three months using the Yodlee Service; and

Yodlee registering you to use its services (this is required for Yodlee to provide its services); and

Yodlee using your de-identified information in aggregated data which Yodlee may use to improve its services.

6. Payment Processing

6.1 William may offer payment processing services through third-party providers. Your use of such services is subject to additional terms and conditions.

7. Prohibited Activities

7.1 Users must not engage in any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities on Knit.

7.2 Users must not provide misleading or inaccurate information regarding bill details.

8. Mobile App Stores

8.1 William offers a mobile application available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store (“App Stores”).

8.2 When using William’s mobile app, you agree to comply with the respective App Store’s terms and conditions.

9. Termination

9.1 William may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or applicable laws.

9.2 You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 William is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of our platform or services.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

12. Modifications

12.1 William may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes.
